The Longest Night

Join us for Yalda Night: Persian poetry, live music, rituals and shared light on the longest night of the year at Treehouse NDSM

Saturday, Dec 20, 2025, 20:00 | Treehouse NDSM - Amsterdam | English-friendly, cozy winter vibes.

Join us for a beautiful celebration of Shab-e Yalda (the Persian celebration of the Winter Solstice) at the creative home of Treehouse NDSM. Yalda is the longest night of the year, a 3,000-year-old tradition where people gather to welcome the return of light, share stories, eat pomegranates, read poetry, and stay awake together until the darkness begins to fade.

This event is for anyone who loves culture, poetry, music, or simply warm community vibes. You don’t need to know anything about Yalda; just come with curiosity and an open heart.

Optional: wear something red (and warm) to honor the night’s tradition. ❤️

Organized by: Mojan Alaiyeh, Sep Keyhani, Sara Hedayati, Mostafa Sameti
